Code of Conduct

Aloha, fellow marine explorers! At Aloha Diving, we’re all about preserving the reef and having a splashin’ good time! Remember, we’ve got a “hands-off” policy down there – no underwater high-fives or fishy handshakes! And no feeding the marine stars, they’re on a diet! Gloves are so last season, just like leaving trash around – it’s a no-no, even cigarettes! No paparazzi strobe lights for our underwater celebrities, they need their beauty sleep! And please, no poking or prodding marine life with muck sticks – they’re not into it! Stay buoyant like a boss and steer clear of reef damage – it’s reef fashion! Spearfishing is like a bad breakup, it messes up the ecosystem balance – don’t be that guy! Follow our boat diving dance moves, buddy pairs and safety checks – it’s the underwater tango! If you get lost, remember, search for your buddy like a hidden treasure and blow up your safety sausage! And, of course, always wear your regulator and keep your mask on – we’re stylish till the very end! Dive in, have a blast, and keep the marine life wondering what’s gotten into you! Remember, we’re all about fun, but mess with the rules, and we’ll show you the exit – flippers off first!

Protection built in

At the heart of our curriculum lies the integration of environmental components, fostering the emergence of future Ocean Ambassadors. Our divers dedicate ample time to honing their abilities, especially those crucial for safeguarding underwater ecosystems. Complementing our standard courses are additional sessions aimed at perfecting buoyancy techniques.

Our core courses are infused with an eco-conscious approach, such as the inclusion of the PADI AWARE Specialty course in the PADI Open Water and the Dive Against Debris Specialty in the PADI Advanced Open Water. Moreover, we proudly offer a wide array of eco PADI Specialty Courses and marine conservation experiences.

Sustainable Dive Trips

Since 2019, we’ve been automatically offsetting our dive boat’s CO2 emissions through climate offset projects from Oceans For All, a local Foundation. Our operations strictly employ biodegradable cleaning products, and we’ve replaced the conventional diesel generator with a solar energy system on our dive boat. Join us and the environmentally-conscious diving community in Phuket to be a part of this transformative journey. Book the likely most CO2-neutral diving excursion with us!

PADI Eco Center

As the first in the Andaman Sea and among the top 30 worldwide, we’re thrilled to attain the prestigious PADI Eco Centre rating. Our dedication and hard work included several key steps:

  • Participating in PADI AWARE’s Adopt The Blue Program, committing to safeguard not just one local dive site, but an entire island, by actively removing marine debris during our dives.
  • Becoming proud Green Fins members, conducting a thorough self-assessment of our environmental impact, and devising an effective action plan to enhance our practices. Our team completed Green Fins Eco Guide training and officially adopted the Green Fins Code Of Conduct, which we had been following for years.
  • Our relentless efforts in executing the action plan led to exceeding our targets for reducing our impact score – a remarkable achievement! However, our journey doesn’t stop here. Green Fins will continue to support us in elevating our efforts as we conduct annual self-evaluations and set new challenging targets. There’s still much more to accomplish!

Marine Conservation and dive against debris

Every dive is a dive against debris

Scuba Divers Unite to Tackle Ocean Mess

Beneath the ocean’s surface lies a troubling issue that only skilled scuba divers can address. With our unique capabilities, we explore the depths and witness the numerous threats plaguing the seas. Among them, marine debris strikes us the hardest. Witnessing its impact on marine life and ecosystems drives us to take action.

Each dive we embark on becomes a mission against debris. As citizen scientists, our PADI AWARE surveys are an integral part of every dive. Removing ocean rubbish and documenting our findings, we contribute vital data to PADI AWARE’s ongoing research on marine debris impacts. For a glimpse of our surveys, explore our dive (b)logs.

Want to make a difference? Join us on a diving adventure! You can become part of our dedicated team through a season pass or opt for pay-as-you-go day trips. Together, we can combat marine debris and protect our precious oceans.

Let’s Make Things Happen

Marine conservation is of utmost importance to protect the delicate ecosystems of our oceans and the diverse life they support.

“We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch – we are going back from whence we came.”
