Terms and Conditions

Booking Policy:

  1. Deposit Payment: We require a deposit payment of 40% for dive packages or at least a 1-day trip. Please note that we cannot hold places without confirmation of payment.
  2. Payment Methods: The deposit can be paid with a major credit card through PayPal’s secure payment gateway. However, please be aware that PayPal currently does not support Thai Baht when making a payment using an American Express card.

Confirmation Process:

  1. Email Confirmation: Once a booking payment has been made, an email confirming the payment will be sent to you.
  2. Confirmation Details: You must reply to the confirmation email with the following details to confirm your booking: a. Each participant’s name, date of birth, weight in kg, height in cm, and shoe size. b. Each participant’s passport number and nationality. c. Each participant’s certification level, date of last dive, and total number of dives. d. Vegetarian food request (if applicable).

Please ensure that you reply with the requested details as this is necessary to finalize your booking. Once we receive the details, you will receive a final confirmation.

Balance Payment:

The remaining balance must be paid on the first day of your activity in Thai Baht and can be settled in cash, credit card, or domestic bank transfer.

Refund Policy:

  1. Full Refunds: 100% full refunds will be given until 24 hours before the scheduled trip.
  2. Partial Refunds or Rescheduling: A 60% refund will be given until 1 pm on the day before the scheduled trip. Alternatively, you have the option to reschedule your trip free of charge.
  3. Tours in Progress: Once a tour has begun, there are no refunds. In cases of extreme weather conditions posing a safety risk, the tour may need to be diverted. We will make every effort to ensure an enjoyable experience.

Cancellations and No Shows Policy:

  1. Cancellations: Any cancellations made after 1 pm on the day before the scheduled booking will result in a full charge of the booked trip. This policy is in place to mitigate potential loss of business and cover incurred expenses.
  2. No Shows: If a customer fails to show up for a scheduled booking without prior notice, the full price of the booked trip will be charged.
  3. Late Arrivals: Please note that no refunds will be given for late arrivals at the meeting point. We appreciate punctuality to maintain the efficiency of our services.

Cancellation Procedure:

  1. Notification: Cancellation must be made via email to info@alohadiving.com.
  2. Refund Confirmation: Once a refund request has been made, it will be confirmed within approximately 24-48 hours, and funds will be returned within approximately 48-72 hours to the original account used for the booking payment.

Important Note:

Bookings that do not provide personal information by 1 pm on the day before the tour date will be considered a no-show, and no refunds will be given. The planning is finalized at 1 pm on the day before the scheduled trip.

Boat Charter Policy:

  1. Bookings: Bookings for boat charters are not considered complete until a deposit payment of 40% has been made. We cannot hold boats without confirmation of payment.

    b. Each participant’s passport number and nationality.
    c. If scuba diving from each participant’s certification level, date of the last dive, and the total number of dives.
    d. Vegetarian food request

Balance Payment:

  1. Balance Payment: The balance payment is required 7 days prior to departure.

Refund and Cancellation Policy:

  1. No Refund: No refund will be given up to 7 days before the scheduled trip dates.
  2. 40% Cancellation Fee: Cancellations made between 14 days and 7 days prior to the scheduled booking will be charged a 40% cancellation fee of the full trip price. You are allowed to reschedule this booking within 2 weeks if availability allows.
  3. Full Price Charge: Cancellations made 6 days before the scheduled booking and no shows will be charged the full price of the booked trip. NO REFUNDS will be given due to potential loss of business or incurred expenses.
  4. Tours in Progress: Once a tour has begun, there are no refunds. In cases of extreme weather conditions posing a safety risk, the tour may need to be diverted. We will do our best to make it a fun day out.

Course Booking Policy:

  1. Deposit Payment: Course bookings are not considered complete until a deposit payment of 40% has been made. We cannot hold boats without confirmation of payment.
  2. Payment Methods: The deposit can be paid with a major credit card through PayPal’s secure payment gateway. Please note that PayPal does not support Thai Baht when making a payment using an American Express card.
  3. eLearning must be completed and forms need to be signed digitally prior to course start.

Confirmation Process:

  1. Email Confirmation: Once a booking payment has been made, an email confirming the payment will be sent to you.
  2. Confirmation Details: You must reply to the confirmation email with the following details to confirm your booking:
    a. Each participant’s name, date of birth, weight in kg, height in cm, and shoe size.
    b. Each participant’s passport number and nationality.
    c. If applicable, each participant’s certification level, date of the last dive, and the total number of dives.
    d. Vegetarian food request, if any.

Please note that it is your responsibility to reply to the confirmation email with the requested details to confirm your booking.

Balance Payment:

  1. Payment Method: The remaining balance must be paid on the first day of the course in Thai Baht and can be settled in cash, credit card, or domestic bank transfer. Please note that card payments are not available for courses starting at the swimming pool to pay the balance.

Refund and Cancellation Policy:

  1. Re-scheduling: You are allowed to re-schedule this booking until 48 hours before the first course day within a period of 3 months. If you need to cancel or re-schedule the course after these 3 months, the deposit is invalid, and a new deposit will be required.
  2. Cancellation after Course Start: In the event of cancellation once you are in Phuket and have started the course but decide to stop for any reason, the amount due needs to be paid in full. However, we do allow you to re-schedule new dates for the cancelled course within 3 months. If boat trips are involved, the cancellation policy of the Scuba Diving Excursion section applies.

BOOKINGS

On receipt of a 30% deposit for the specified cruise we will send you a confirmation. The remaining balance of 70% must be paid 45 days before departure. If we do not receive the balance in time we retains the right to cancel the booking and resell the spaces.

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations can only be acknowledged if received IN WRITING by email (info@alohadiving.com). The date of cancellation will be the date we receive this written notice. In the event of cancellation by you, the following cancellation charges will be payable: 45 days or more prior to departure: deposit forfeited 45 days of departure: 100% of tour price

BOOKINGS

Bookings are not complete until payment has been made. Please understand – we cannot hold places without a confirmation of payment.

The online invoice can be paid with a major credit card through PayPal’s secure payment gateway (no credit card fees!). At the moment, PayPal doesn’t support Thai Baht when a payment is made using an American Express card.

Once a booking payment has been made, an email confirming the payment will be sent – YOU MUST REPLY TO THIS EMAIL WITH THE REQUESTED DETAILS TO CONFIRM THE BOOKING. Once we receive the details you will receive a final confirmation containing your pick-up time and details.

Details:
1. From all participants: full name, date of birth, passport no. and nationality
2. Hotel name and Location (ex. Novotel – Patong)
3. Any Dietary Restrictions

Please note: If you do not reply with your details we will not be able to schedule a pick-up time – You are responsible for emailing us the details no later than 6:00pm prior to the date of your tour. Without these details it is impossible for us to schedule the van. Ensure you have received the confirmation email with your pick-up time clearly noted.

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

  • 100% Full refunds will be given up to 2 days before scheduled Tour Dates.
  • Cancellations made between 48 hours and 24 hours prior to a scheduled booking will be charged a 50% cancellation fee of the full tour price.
  • Cancellations made within 24 Hours of a scheduled booking and No Shows will be charged the full price of the booked trip. NO REFUNDS will be given due to potential loss of business / expenses incurred.
  • NO REFUNDS will be given for trips to Similan Islands National park. Rescheduling is not possible due to pre purchased and personalized National Park Tickets.
  • Once a tour has begun there are NO Refunds – Tours may have to be diverted in cases of extreme weather conditions if the Captain feels there is a safety risk. In any event, we will do our best to make it a fun day out.

Notification of cancellation must be made via email to info@alohadiving.com.

Once the refund request has been made, it will be confirmed within approx. 24-48 hours and funds will be returned within approx. 48-72 hours to the originating account that was used for the booking payment.

Bookings that do not provide Hotel Location information by 1800 hrs. the day before the tour date will be considered a No Show – NO Refunds will be given. Our Pick-up Schedule is finalised at 1800 hrs. on the day before scheduled tours.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Payment Methods:

  1. Payment Currency: Payments are accepted in Thai Baht (THB) only.
  2. Cash: Cash payments are accepted.
  3. Credit Card via PayPal: Major credit cards can be used for payment through PayPal’s secure payment gateway.
  4. Credit Card in our Shop: Major credit cards can be used for payment directly at our shop.
  5. Bank Transfer with Wise: Please contact us for bank transfer details. All bank charges must be covered by the customer for both banks. Any losses arising from foreign currency exchange rates during transfers will be addressed in the final invoice.

ATM Usage in Thailand:

  1. Withdrawal Limit: ATMs in Thailand typically have a daily withdrawal limit of around 10,000 THB per 24 hours. Please note that this limit may vary depending on the bank and card type.
  2. Recommended Usage: It is recommended to use ATMs at bank branches rather than at supermarkets or other places to minimize the risk of card skimming.

CHILDREN:

  1. Welcome to Join: Children are welcome on our tours. However, please consider that these are ocean tours involving travel over open water for up to 2 hours. The tours are long days and should be carefully considered before booking.
  2. Supervision and Safety: Please be aware that our tour insurance, like most policies in Thailand, does not cover children under 4 years old. You are personally responsible for the supervision and safety of your children on board.

WEATHER / SAFETY:

  1. Cancellations by Aloha Ocean Adventures Co., Ltd: In the event of adverse weather conditions, boat issues, or engine problems, resulting in the cancellation of your scheduled trip by Aloha Ocean Adventures Co., Ltd, a full refund of 100% will be provided.
  2. No Refunds after Trip Start: Once a trip has begun, no refunds are available. We will make every effort to find safe and suitable dive/snorkeling sites for your tour and ensure you have a wonderful day. Even on rainy days, underwater experiences can still be great.
  3. Captain’s Decision: Please understand that there may be instances where the boat is forced to divert to an alternate location (e.g., Phi Phi to Racha Yai) due to high waves posing a risk. The captain has the final authority to decide the destination based on weather and safety considerations on the day of the tour.

LIABILITY:

We shall not be liable in contract or tort for any injury, loss, damage, or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by the services we provide, force majeure, or any other events outside of our control. This includes but is not limited to war, civil disturbances, weather conditions, acts of God, acts of government, accidents, machinery or equipment failure, protests, vehicles, or industrial disputes.

SNORKELING GROUP TOURS:

We carefully choose our tour operators and conduct inspections regularly. However, Aloha Ocean Adventures Co., Ltd. acts only as an agent for the individual tour operators and shall not be liable for any losses, damages, delays, or claims incurred from any failure by the tour operator.

CHANGES TO ITINERARY:

We reserve the right to make changes to any published itinerary or charter content without notice if sea or weather conditions require such changes to be made.

INSURANCE:

  1. Scuba Diving and Dive Courses: Insurance coverage for scuba diving and dive courses is provided by Aloha Ocean Adventures Co., Ltd. under AIG.
  2. Snorkeling Boat Tours: Snorkeling boat tours are covered under the boat owners’ policy.
