Located on the southeast side of the island, Racha Noi Bay is easily distinguishable by its small islet. At low tide, the sand ridge connecting to the main island will be visible.
The dive site is the closest dive site to the favourite manta ray dive site of South Tip and Racha Noi Bay serves as a back up dive site if we can’t dive at South Tip due to adverse weather conditions. It nearly always has crystal clear water with lovely white sand that makes it visually stunning above the water.
The shallow coral garden at the north and the south of the islet, with its dense bed of hard coral and staghorn coral, is highly suitable for snorkeling. The coral gives way to a sandy bottom at depths of about 15 m. On the rocky portions deeper than 30 m, sea fans and sea whips occupy the area.
Be careful following the reef because the currents can be strong and they will run directly to the south. For inexperienced divers this can be dangerous.
All scuba diving dive sites are at the discretion of the tour leader on the day. Dive sites are selected based on the weather conditions, currents, safety and suitability to majority of divers on the boat. We cannot guarantee specific dive sites prior to the boat departing.
You can dive Racha Noi Bay on a scuba diving day trip.
Racha Noi Bay is also sometimes dived on Green Season Liveaboard Trips.
