Phuket liveaboard trip destinations

The Similan Islands are a group of different islands (Island No. 1 to Island No. 9). The dive sites in this area have a varied topography and often crystal clear water. However, in order to see the true treasures of the Andaman Sea, the dive sites at Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock should be necessarily on the program of a Liveaboard trip. Because the world-class dive sites are there and encounters with big creatures such as sharks, manta rays and whale sharks are quite often.

Still an insider tip are Liveaboards going to Myanmar (Burma Bank or Mergui Archipelago ) or India (Andaman Islands). During the season, only a few vessel cruise to this remote diving area. All dive sites are located in protected national parks. A reasonable Phuket Liveaboard Trip should last between 3-7 days.

As a great or if time matters, a Liveaboard to the southern Andaman Sea is recommended. The “Red Rock” (Hin Daeng) and the “Purple Rock” (Hin Muang) are overgrown with countless colorful soft coral and is where it gets its name from. Mantas are there also often encountered, because the underwater rocks are used as a cleaning station. Koh Haa awaits with spectacular caves and swim-throughs and Phi Phi Islands are always good for a surprise and worth seeing. Again, all the dive sites are in protected national parks. A good Liveaboard can be made already within 2-3 days.

To discover the absolute highlights of the Andaman Sea, some Phuket Liveaboard Trips combine both diving destinations in one trip. These tours last then usually 7 days.
