About the PADI Open Water Diver Course
The PADI Open Water Diver course is your first full scuba certification. Complete the theory online, spend Day 1 learning the essential skills in our pool, then put them into practice during four open water dives from our own boat over Days 2 and 3.
Once certified, you can dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 18 metres, and your certification is recognised worldwide and does not expire.
Other course options
- Short on time? The PADI Scuba Diver course takes two days and certifies you to dive to 12 metres with a PADI Professional.
- Already completed your theory and pool training? Choose the Open Water Referral and complete your four training dives with us.
- Our Eco option adds the PADI AWARE Dive Against Debris® specialty, with 8% of the course fee donated to the PADI AWARE Foundation.
Before you start
- No previous diving experience is required. Minimum age is 10 years, and you must be able to swim 200 metres and float or tread water for 10 minutes.
- You’ll also need to complete the standard Diver Medical Form before the course. Please read it carefully — answering “Yes” to certain questions requires a doctor’s approval before you can dive.
Where will we dive?
We choose your training sites according to the day's conditions and what's best for the course. Your dives may take you to Racha Yai, Koh Mai Thon, Koh Doc Mai, Green Island or Shark Point.
