Diving for children

First bubbles in the pool, first reef before the holiday ends. Age-appropriate PADI programs, small groups and plenty of time to discover diving at their own pace.

The right step for their age

PADI sets the minimum ages; we set the calm pace.

Ages 8–9

Bubblemaker

A first taste of scuba in shallow water, under the direct eye of a PADI Professional. An experience, not an exam — the aim is confidence and fun.

Ages 8–9

PADI Seal Team

A step further than trying scuba: children work through a series of AquaMissions, learning new skills while completing underwater challenges in the pool.

Age 10+

Try Scuba Diving

Two real ocean dives from our own boat, no experience or swimming skills required, two students per instructor. If they continue to a certification, the training may count towards it.

Age 10+

Junior Open Water Diver

The full first certification, taught at a child's pace: theory online, pool day, then four open water dives. Junior divers dive with a certified adult until PADI's age limits lift on their own.

What parents ask us

  • Not for Bubblemaker or Try Scuba Diving — they just need to be comfortable in the water. The Open Water certification requires a 200-metre swim and 10 minutes of floating, same as for adults.
  • Bubblemaker happens in shallow water under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. On Try Scuba Diving we take a maximum of two students per instructor, and first dives stay shallow.
  • Yes. Children need the standard PADI Diver Medical Form as well as the required liability and program forms. All forms must be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian, not only by the child. Please read the medical form carefully: answering “Yes” to certain questions may require a doctor's approval before the water day.
  • Yes — parents are welcome at the poolside during the Bubblemaker session. You can also join the day yourself: as a certified diver, by trying scuba, or simply by coming along and snorkeling.
