About the PADI Discover Scuba Diving course
Curious what it feels like to breathe underwater?
PADI Discover Scuba Diving is a one-day introduction to scuba diving, with no previous experience required.
After a briefing on equipment, safety and a few basic skills, you'll make two dives from our own boat under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. It's an experience rather than a certification, but if you decide to continue with the Open Water Diver course, your training may count towards it.
Where will we dive?
We choose the dive sites according to the day's conditions and what is suitable for first-time divers. Typical destinations include Racha Yai, Koh Mai Thon and Koh Doc Mai.
Before you start
- You must be at least 10 years old and comfortable in the water.
- Before the day, you'll have to complete a short 15-minute PADI eLearning video covering the basics you need to know before your first dive.
- You’ll also need to complete the standard Diver Medical Form before the course. Please read it carefully — answering “Yes” to certain questions requires a doctor’s approval before you can dive.
- You cannot fly for at least 18 hours after scuba diving, so please keep this in mind when planning your trip.
