Phi Phi Islands National Park Tour by Speedboat

About Phi Phi Island National Park

The Phi Phi Islands are an island group in Thailand, between the large island of Phuket and the west Strait of Malacca coast of the mainland.

The islands are administratively part of Krabi province. Koh Phi Phi Don is the largest island of the group, and is the most populated island of the group, although the beaches of the second largest island, Ko Phi Phi Lee, are visited by many people as well.[read more] The rest of the islands in the group, including Bida Nok, Bida Noi, and Bamboo Island (Ko Mai Phai), are not much more than large limestone rocks jutting out of the sea. The Islands are reachable by speedboats or Long-tail boats most often from Krabi Town or from various piers in Phuket Province.

The Phi Phi Islands National Park is Thailand’s island-superstar. It’s been in the movies. It’s the topic of conversation for travelers all over Thailand. Even with all the hype, it doesn’t disappoint. Phi Phi’s beauty is a large chunk of the allure. The islands, when approached by boat, rise from the sea like a fortress. Sheer cliffs tower overhead, then give way to beach-fronted jungle. It’s love at first sight.

The six islands in the group known as “Phi Phi Islands” and some are part of the Phi Phi National Park. The local waters are home to an abundance of corals and marine life, and a top location for snorkellers and scuba divers. There are limestone mountains with large cliffs, caves and long white sandy beaches. From the six islands, only Phi Phi Don is inhabited. As it has no roads there, it is a really laid-back place on this planet.
