About the PADI AWARE Coral Reef Conservation Specialty
Coral reefs are much more than beautiful places to dive. They are complex ecosystems that support marine life, protect coastlines and are increasingly under pressure from human activity and environmental change.
The PADI AWARE Coral Reef Conservation Specialty explores how coral reefs function, why they are so important, the threats they face and what we can do to help protect them.
This is a dry specialty with no dives required, and it is open to divers and non-divers alike.

Why dive with Aloha Diving
Better divers
We don’t teach to the minimum requirements. We build skills, good habits and confidence at each diver’s pace, with very small classes and an emphasis on safety, control and respect for the reef.
Safety first
Safety is non-negotiable. Experienced professionals, well-maintained equipment and boat, proper safety equipment, and recognised diving and local standards guide every dive.
Diving with a lighter footprint
Green Fins standards are part of how we dive. We support Oceans For All and take part in reef clean-ups, marine-life monitoring and other conservation activities.
