About the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is built around five Adventure Dives rather than an exam. Deep and Underwater Navigation are required, and you choose three more based on your interests, dive conditions and available dive sites.
Complete the eLearning before the course, then spend three days diving from our own boat. Each Adventure Dive introduces you to a different area of diving while building your confidence and experience underwater.
After certification, your maximum depth increases to 30 metres, and each Adventure Dive may count as the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty course.

Other course options
- Short on time? The PADI Adventure Diver course includes three Adventure Dives, including Underwater Navigation, and can be completed over two days.
- Our Eco option combines your Advanced Open Water training with a PADI AWARE course for divers who want to learn more about marine conservation.
Before you start
- You need a PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent. Minimum age is 12 — contact us and we'll advise you.
- You’ll also need to complete the standard Diver Medical Form. Please read it carefully — answering “Yes” to certain questions requires a doctor’s approval before you can dive.
- You cannot fly for at least 18 hours after scuba diving, so please keep this in mind when planning your trip.
