Aloha Diving - Scuba Diving in Phuket

We did three days of diving with Aloha Diving and found that it was fantastic and a well run operation. Simon and Alice are expats from Switzerland and have been running the dive operation for 16 years in Phuket. The planned dive locations were selected to align with the tides to use any current in our favor. Simon ran the operation with the precision of a Swiss watch where we hit the water on cue to maximize the dives at each location.The dive boat was a custom conversion from a sturdy commercial fishing vessel and is nicely laid out for a comfortable dive experience. The max number of divers is limited to 12 divers in groups of four with staggered entries such that we hardly saw the other groups from our boat on each dive plan. This makes for a much nicer experience as opposed to other larger boats that disembark a legion of divers.The dive team (Simon, Alice and Mona) were very knowledgeable and keenly observant to point out all the sea life expected in the pre-dive brief as well as spotting the sea life during the dive.Everyday we had a delicious Thai lunch followed by local fresh fruit. The Thai mangoes were our favorite. They also had cold water, hot beverages and snacks onboard.The boat staff was outstanding and very helpful in sorting the gear and preparing for each dive. This was a well run operation and one that would get my highest recommendation if you are looking for a great dive experience here in Phuket. We would use Aloha diving again if we are back here to dive in the future.

Perfect. I discovered a perfect team and diving club. We dived two times on a day trip and have seen a lot of beautiful things (island, fishes, corals..). Aloha is almost the only to operate with is own boat, so they can choose the best spot to dive l, avoid the crowd of diving ferries and in the same team respect the environement .Thanks to you.Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. This is one of the best dive centres I ever went diving with.Originally planned for two days of diving, I ended up going four days (8 dives) with them.Their professionalism and good vibes made me want even more.The crew is great, the boat is clean and in a perfect condition and the dive staff is amazing.Their equipment is in great condition and always serviced.On top they are an eco centre, avoiding single use plastic and taking care of the environment.Small groups to enjoy every single dive to the fullest, without any stress or pressure.The dive sites we went to were all beautiful and there was so much to see.I felt more like a friend and not like a customer during all the trips.I’m glad I walked into those guys and I will definitely come back.

Had my first scuba diving experience with Aloha diving, and the experience was magical.The instructors here are certified professionals with over 15 years of diving experience, and they were friendly and patient, which made the experience fabulous.Would recommend anyone to come here for the scuba diving.

We did discovery scuba diving and felt so easy with our instructor Simon. Started off with snorkelling to teach the basics and then went right into diving to 8 mts and then 11 mts.Followed utmost safety at every step and organised the entire activity perfectly.Thank you for the most memorable experience.. coming back soon definitely. 🤩

Tolles Team!Wir haben unseren Padi - Open Water Diving Kurs gemacht.Erstmal das wichtigste: es wird viel Wert auf Sicherheit gelegt, man muss vernünftig schwimmen können- das wird vorab überprüft!Tag 1 im Tauchpool war informativ und eine gute Grundlage für die darauffolgenden Tage.Tag 2 und 3 ging es raus, in unserem Fall nach Koh Racha Yai und Koh Racha Noi.Dort werden alle erlernten Fertigkeiten regelmäßig geübt, (Notaufstieg, Luftausfall unter Wasser, Tarierung etc.)An Bord befanden sich fertige und noch lernende Taucher von überall her, es herrschte ein fröhlicher Umgang und man kam gut ins Gespräch.Alles in allem eine tolle Erfahrung die wir jedem empfehlen können!Riesen Dankeschön an Gunther, Simon und Mona für diese schöne Erfahrung - wir werden definitiv weitermachen.

Aloha Diving is the best in Phuket. The boat is spacious and comfortable. They only allow a limited amount of divers on the boat as compared to the other dive outlets in Phuket where it feels a lot like a cattle truck. Simon and his crew are the best in the business. They are all about the details in the service they provide. Mona, the DM was phenomenal. Safety and personal service was her top priority. Mona was constantly pointing out fascinating sealife underwater. She has an eye for detail and a passion for ocean conservation. It is worth noting that any time Mona discovered trash underwater she was quick to remove it. Mona went as far as recovering an anchor from the reef and returned with it to the surface. Aloha Diving is the only dive boat I use while in Phuket.

Before making the reservation, I was a bit anxious since it had been a while since my last dive. However, after checking in with Aloha's dive guide, my worries were quickly eased within just 1 minute.No matter what your diving level is, you can have a good experience at Aloha because the dive guides will tailor a plan based on your situation and goals. Aloha's boat is also fantastic, it's a small boat that can accommodate around 10 people, very clean and well-organized, and the second-floor deck is also very comfortable. After diving, you can even take a nap upstairs like in the cradle of the sea.

Ich tauchte mit Aloha Diving Anfang Februar 2024. Ich muss sagen, ich bin mega mega mega zufrieden und beeindruckt. Der Kontakt war auf sehr hohem Niveau, die Atmosphäre war, als wäre ich Teil der Familie, alle waren lächelnd und hatten Sinn für Humor. Die Einstellung zu ihrer Arbeit und Verantwortung war auf einem hohen Niveau. Die Tauchplätze waren super, obwohl ich nur zwei Tage getaucht bin, habe ich trotzdem viel unter Wasser gesehen. Ich weiß schon jetzt, dass ich bald wieder bei Aloha Diving vorbeischauen werde, um mit ihnen zu tauchen, aber diesmal länger. Ich möchte alle grüßen und wir sehen uns bald wieder an Land und unter Wasser 😂😂😂.

Very well organised, equipment in great condition, clear instructions, clean boat, smaller groups than the usual operators, you definitely feel you’re in safe hands. Shoutout to Alice who was incredibly patient and Simin who was thorough from the start. A great day out diving in Phuket. Would love to dive with them again if ever in Phuket. Highly recommend.

An incredible dive experience! I got my advanced dive and nitrox certifications with Simon and the team. I always felt safe, and the Aloha team arranged 6 beautiful dives over three days. The food was wonderful, and the company was better. My favorite part was how intimate the dive boat was, unlike some of the massive factories we saw at some dive sites where divers were packed like sardines. I can’t recommend Aloha enough!

Der Tauchtrip mit Alice und Simons Tauchzentrum war eine tolle Erfahrung. Die beiden Schweizer sind äusserst professionell organisiert und holen Tauch- Einsteiger wie auch Profis vollständig ab. Speditive Kommunikation via Whatsapp. Sie überfüllen ihr Tauchschiff nicht, so dass alle genug Platz haben. Recht viele deutschsprachige Taucher, aber auch für die englischsprechenden Teilnehmer wird das volle Programm geboten. Vielen Dank für die beiden tollen Tage! Ich komme gerne wieder.

Unser erster Tauchgang überhaupt war mit Aloha Dive und Alice in Thailand - es war einfach fantastisch! Alice hat uns hervorragend betreut und dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns sicher fühlten. Wir hatten unglaublichen Spass und konnten mehr sehen, als wir uns je erträumt hätten - von Barrakudas über einen Hai bis hin zu Baby-Kugelfischen und vielem mehr! Die Erfahrung war einfach unvergesslich und wir können Aloah Dive und besonders Alice als Guide nur wärmstens empfehlen. Wir freuen uns schon auf unser nächstes Abenteuer mit ihnen!

Having dived with several Phuket dive shops, I have now found the one I will always go back to.A large boat that is very stable in the water, but restricted to 10-12 divers, this is a well organised, relaxing and very enjoyable dive trip.Simon and Alice know the best dive sites to both avoid the crowds and ensure you have a great day.The snacks and lunch are also worth a mention.We saw tons of marine life and were lucky enough to spot Minke Whales coming back!This is for me the best dive operation in Phuket.

Amazing team and wonderful diving experience. They are true diving fanatics. I had the beginners package and we had 2 unforgettable dives for an hour each. We managed to see a shark, few types of muraenas and a lot more. The under-water world was astonishing, especially the second dive along the underwater cliff. One moment you are swimming among thousand of fishes, next moment you are looking at the 2m high corralls. It is so much more than snorkelling and for the price you are not just getting to dive. You are getting the whole day’s trip with interesting people. I am thinking to do it again.

For new, novice, and experienced divers, this dive school will meet your diving needs. Instructors are very friendly, safety conscious, patient, and knowledgeable, both in diving knowledge in general and local diving knowledge. Small groups mean the dives are flexible to the divers' needs and requests. Very environmentally conscious and actively cleaning up on every dive where possible. Divers return again and again because the service is so good. Great at returning email enquiries quickly and clearly. Highly recommend.

Thanks to Tim and Alice for a great few days diving. Aloha divers take pride in setting a high standard for dive experiences. I commend their work towards the eco system, nice to see dive masters (Mona) still picking up trash from the ocean, plus efforts for recycling, using solar panels onboard the vessel and high consideration for CO2 emissions - even down to engine tuning.Aloha divers start early but reward well, being first at dive sites away from the other dive boats was epic. We saw a full range of wildlife from Guitar sharks, leopard sharks, cuttlefish, and huge variety of fish and nudibranchs.Will be visiting again, thanks again guys!

My wife and I absolutely enjoyed our two tank dive with Aloha Diving! Simon was super helpful when booking the trip. We were supplied dive computers to use for the day and that is rare in my experience. First dive was at Shark Point and we immediately saw a leopard shark when descending. There were so many different types of fish! The coral was beautiful and the sea urchins were the biggest I’ve seen. The bluespotted ribbontail ray was a delight to see. The second dive was at Koh Dok Mai. The wall dive was a first for me and I loved every minute. So many fish and again so many types. We even saw a small white eyed moray eel. Mona was an amazing dive guide! 🙌🏼 My wife has difficulty equalizing, but Mona was patient and helpful throughout the day. She really made the day even better. I seriously cannot say enough kind words about the entire crew. A very friendly and professional bunch. I hope to return one day!

I recently had my first diving experience and I'm so glad I chose Aloha Diving for it. My instructor, Alice, was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience remarkable. Es gäbe nichts was besser gemacht werden konnte. Super nette und unglaublich professionelle Instruktoren/in und eine sehr zuvorkommende Bootscrew. Auch für Anfänger sehr gut geeignet. Ein paar in unserer Gruppe waren sehr nervös vor dem Tauchgang, aber durch die Routiniertheit der Instruktoren/in war das schnell vergessen. Der Tauchplatz zu dem wir gebracht wurden war auch fantastisch und überhaupt nicht überfüllt. Wie aus einer Doku vom Discovery Channel! Die ganze Erfahrung war 110% ihr Geld wert.

I enjoyed my 3 days of diving with Aloha despite the unexpected weather. Despite the bad forecast, the weather changed for the better and we managed to do 3 days of dives as planned! We dived with Alice during our trip and she was patient, super knowledgeable (she knows where are all the hideouts of the seahorses, sharks and everything under the sea)! The crew was extremely professional and of high standards! They brought the enthusiasm and made the dives exciting! The vessel was also clean and well maintained!I fully enjoyed myself during the trip and i will definitely dive with them again in Phuket :).

Wir haben unsere erste Taucherfahrung mit Simon, Alice und ihrer Crew mit unserem Padi Open Water Diver gemacht. Es war wirklich alles mehr als TOP. Die Ausbildung war gewissenhaft und man hat wirklich viel gelernt, es war alles top organisiert und man fühlte sich sofort herzlich Willkommen. Vor allem durch die geringe Anzahl an Personen (max. 10-12 Personen) die sie bei jedem Tauchgang mitnehmen ist es sehr angenehm und es kommt keine Hektik auf. Super leckeres Mitagessen und Snacks waren inklusive, echt top, kann man nur weiterempfehlen!! Wir werden sicher bei Gelegenheit nochmal wiederkommen! Macht weiter so Simon, Alice & Co.!

Absolutely loved the entire experience! I had a great time with Simon, Alice, Bill, and the whole crew. I arrived as a solo traveler but it felt like joining a family trip! The boat is spacious and incredibly neat and tidy. With such a large boat, they only accommodate 10 customers per day, and it ended up being just me and three other customers, making it feel like a private trip. I appreciated that the owners joined the trip and personally guided the entire excursion. They were enthusiastic about educating us on responsible diving, emphasizing the importance of preserving marine life. I also loved that our trip was carbon neutral.I've been a pretty "Spoiled" diver back home, typically having the crew set up my gear, which is actually not safe.However, Simon took the time to teach me about the importance of knowing my gear for my safety. He patiently guided me through setting up all the gear, ensuring I understood every detail. They were flexible, adapted quickly, and paid attention to every customer's skills and interests.The first dive at Anemone Reef was incredible, teeming with Anemone, some blooming and others about to bloom, Just picture towering coral formations brimming with anemones—absolutely blew my mind! I also saw a Bamboo Shark, a big Lionfish, a large pufferfish, schools of barracudas, squids, and a myriad of other fishes.They timed it perfectly so we didn't coincide with other boats, having the site all to ourselves.The second dive at Shark Point was also great! It had colorful corals and offered a glimpse of some macro stuff, although I missed seeing the leopard, which was fine. I appreciated being paired with Alice on the second dive; we both had fantastic air consumption, diving for 75 minutes!We could've gone longer, but due to the strong wind and current on the surface, we had to end a bit earlier. Simon was waiting at the surface, preparing the buoy and necessary equipment due to the rough sea conditions, ensuring our safety. Thanks to everyone, I had an amazing day; it exceeded my expectations!
The PADI Drift Diver specialty course takes 1 day and includes 1 boat trip with 2 training dives. The Drift Diver certificate enables divers to dive safely at exposed dive site with ocean current. The minimum required age is 12 years.
