Yacht and Sailing Support at Nai Harn – Rawai – Ao Chalong

What do you find where

Ao Chalong is the main hub in the south of Phuket for Yachties. There you can bunker fuel (Diesel and Gasohol) and freshwater. If you choose to go to the fuel dock at Chalong Pier be aware off a sunken ship close by at low tide. The local captain’s know where that is. If you want to be on the safe side there is a blue painted barge moored off Chalong Pier where you can bunker fuel and water. South off Chalong Pier you find another water dock offshore. If you come from oversea you can do your immigration at the yacht control center. At Ao Chalong is a popular anchorage for catamarans, sailing boats mainly registered in Thailand.

Rawai Landing Pier is a scenic anchorage with many beach side restaurants and Phuket’s famous local fish market. Anchor away from the pier and tender as the the water is quite shallow.

Nai Harn is famous anchorage and well known in South East Asia. Anchor in 8 to 10 meters anywhere in this pretty bay. Ashore is the 5 star Nai Harn hotel and several small local restaurants. There is a marked swimming area near the hotel, on the northwest side of the bay is the small Ao Sane beach with a superb restaurant which is a much safer place to land the dinghy (marked). Around the headland to the north is the amazing Ao Nui beach which has room for just a few boats with a small restaurant ashore.
