The southern tour to Phi Phi and Haa Islands and Hin Daeng and Hin Muang is equally recommended as the Northern Tour. This is going to the Similan Islands, including Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock and is the classic among the Liveaboards in Thailand. If time permits, there is the possibility to combine the southern and northern tour at a time, which is truly a highlight. The season for Liveaboards in Thailand is always from October to May. Outside this period, the national parks are closed for security reasons. The partially secluded dive sites can not be reached due to very rough sea conditions Overnight Trips).

It is advisable to already planning now a Liveaboard for the season. It should be noted that there are fixed dates and timetables for the various routes and many are booked up months in advance. To be flexible, holidays and flights should be based on those dates, respectively the holidays should be planned around these dates.

Is a Liveaboard anything for me? If someone is not convinced about a Liveaboard, there is the chance to join a trip for only 2 days/2 nights to discover it. All others will appreciate this way of diving. The diving equipment needs to set up only once, waiting to be used comfortably. Between the dives there is always enough time to rest and enjoying life. And what could be better than diving, eating and sleeping all day long! This is also true for non-divers, which are equally welcome on the liveaboard boats.

On which Liveaboard should I go? There are a large number of Liveaboards in all price ranges. And the greater, and indeed confusing, is the flood of data in the internet jungle. In Thailand, it is common that Liveaboards can be booked through agents and not directly with the boat operators.
