How our student experience the PADI Rescue Diver course

In a previous life, I was a US NAVY Scuba Diver on a fast attack nuclear submarine and highly recommend this course.  The Rescue Diver Course is a lot of FUN and improved my diving and first aid skills. The course material and water skills are both challenging and rewarding. The most beneficial learning is to prevent accidents by proper pre-dive briefs and checks! You will learn techniques to recognize problematic situations and actions to take for a more enjoyable diving experience. Hopefully, you will not need to use most of the training for emergencies. If you do, this course will help you respond to ensure your safety and help others.

Number of Dives = Number of Surfaces

A great goal in this sport. When we lose our ability to breathe we naturally panic, developing skills to recognize distress, staying calm and restore breathing is life-saving. Recently my Buoyancy Compensator inflator hose connection was loose and I was struggling to maintain buoyancy in strong current. Fortunately, my instructor Alice was able to tighten the connection to restore proper operation and get back to the surface safely.

Most everyone wants to help when there is an accident. The accident management section provides you with many tools to help. If someone panics and holds their breath on an assent they can cause an air embolism. What do you do? Who do you call? Where is the nearest decompression chamber? How do you get there? Unfortunately, this can happen. The PADI Rescue Diver Course provides guidance and planning to respond. Of course, there are prerequisites to be a rescue diver; advanced open water diver, CPR and first aid certifications. This is a great course to take to make diving safer and more pleasurable. You can also be better prepared for other life emergencies!
