SSI Stress and Rescue Course - Emergency Training in Phuket

SSI Stress and Rescue Diver Course – Emergency Training in Phuket

Our previous students told us that the Rescue Diver Course was the most challenging, yet most rewarding course they have ever taken. Why? Because you learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, and become more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed. During the course, you learn to become a better buddy by practicing problem solving skills until they become second nature. Plus, the course is just fun – it’s serious, but still allows for lots of laughter in between the focused learning.

At Aloha Diving, all of our diver stress and rescue diver courses are organised to give you the best possible training, in the best possible locations around Phuket.

The SSI Stress and Rescue Diver Course

The SSI Stress Rescue Diver course will help develop your knowledge and skills so you can effectively perform diver assists and rescues, manage diving accident situations and render first aid. The SSI Stress Rescue Diver course is an important step in expanding your knowledge and experience as a diver. In addition, and perhaps more importantly you will be able to recognise stress in others and will have the knowledge to be able to diffuse this, before stress levels rise to the point where panic occurs.

At Aloha Diving we focus on the diffusion of stress. We teach how scuba dives should be conducted so that everyone has a good time in a comfortable and safe environment where stress is not a factor. We will also train you to deal with a situation should it arise – hopefully you will never have to.

A good Stress Rescue Diver recognizes the situations in which stress can occur amongst different personality types and the signs and symptoms of stress should it arise. They are able to deal with stress within themselves and are thus available to assist other divers who are not as experienced.

After completing a Stress & Rescue course you will be a SSI Stress and Rescue Diver. If a scuba diving accident were to occur whilst you were around you would have the knowledge to co-ordinate resources and ensure the appropriate actions are taken.

Stress is a major contributor to rescue situations and diving accidents. Through this course you will learn accident prevention, as well as how to handle problem situations if they occur.

The course runs three days in which you will participate in academic and in-water sessions in the pool and in the open water. As a prerequisite for certification you need to have a valid CPR, First Aid & Oxygen Provider certificate.

The SSI React Right Course

The SSI React Right course provides scuba divers with the skills required to respond to emergency situations. This course is also important competencies for day-to-day life outside of work as well. Being qualified in React Right First Aid will give you the skills to manage an accident scene and provide essential first aid. Accidents and illnesses happen every day. Also SSI and other training agencies require a valid First Aid and CPR Certificate as a prerequisite for the Diver Stress & Rescue certification.

By completing the SSI React Right course you can give important care to those in need. The skills learnt in this program will give you the confidence to assist an injured or sick colleague, friend, family member or even a total stranger in a time of real need. It is a self-rewarding qualification that is helpful to all people.

Fantastic experience, couldn't recommend more. Three of us signed up for the Open Water Diver course, 2 beach dives and 2 boat dives. We were lucky to have a super relaxed instructor and another trainee instructor to ourselves, which particularly helped ease me when I had a mini panic attack on first entry in the beach dive. The equipment seemed state of the art, from the deep container pool at the training centre to the wetsuits, regulators, diving computers etc. And we got amazing photos in the mix! Seriously above and beyond what other diving centers appear to offer, and a really high bar to beat for our future dives!read more

I just did 2 day trips with Aloha Diving and it was simply perfect. Thank you! To be more precise: The communication with Alice and Simon (owner of Aloha Diving) prior to the dives was easy and both were very responsive. During the day trips, which they do in corporation with another company, everything was well organized, they have good rental equipment and most important safety matters for them! To conclude: I can highly recommend Aloha Diving.read more
