The Anemone Reef is very exposed in the middle of the Andaman Sea, not far from Shark Point and the King Cruiser Shipwreck. Strong currents are common, making the diving conditions demanding.

As the Thai name makes clear, the whole rock is under water. The rather small reef starts at 3 to 5 meters and drops to 25 meters, where it goes over into sandy seabed. The English name for this dive site comes from the abundance of anemones that grow on the limestone. Numerous clown fish, anemone fish and porcelain crabs populate the colorful anemones. In addition to imposing snapper and barracuda schools, big fish such as whale sharks, leopard sharks, groupers, tuna and mackerel may be found at this place. Other reef residents include turtles, cuttlefish, seahorses, sea snakes, scorpion fish and a large number of different moray eels, including the rare zebra moray eel. The biodiversity is excellent and the colors of this underwater landscape breathtaking.

All scuba diving dive sites are visited at the discretion of the tour leader on the day. Dive sites are selected based on the weather conditions, currents, overall safety and suitability for the majority of divers on the boat. We cannot guarantee specific dive sites prior to the boat departing.

You can dive Anemone Reef on a Scuba Diving Day Trip.
